Yogapedia Explains Heart Chakra Pose
Apart from anahatasana, several other poses fall into the category of a heart chakra pose. These include camel pose, cobra pose, bow pose, fish pose and cat-cow pose.
Heart chakra pose improves posture, expands the chest, promotes function of the lungs and heart, energizes the whole body, relieves tightness in the back and elevates the spirit and mood.
Since heart chakra pose stimulates the anahata (heart) chakra, it develops compassion and promotes goodness in the Self. Heart chakra is associated with self-respect, harmony and abundance. Regular practice of heart chakra pose promotes one’s sense of balance and the “let go” attitude.
