What Does Sitopaladi Mean?

Sitopaladi is an Ayurvedic compound used to increase immunity and bolster overall health and wellbeing. This formula is particularly soothing for Pitta and Vata doshas. It is used to treat, coughs, colds and respiratory symptoms, due to its immune-boosting properties. Sitopaladi can also help in the treatment of allergies and diabetes.

Yogapedia Explains Sitopaladi

Derived from Sanskrit, sitopala means 'rock candy,' which is the primary ingredient of Sitopaladi. The other ingredients are Pippali, (Piper Longum), Vanshlochan (Bamboo manna), Twak (Cinnamon) & Elaichi (Green cardamom). To make Sitopaladi, each of these ingredients is dried and ground into a powder before being mixed together.

Sitopaladi can help to:

  • Improve pulmonary function
  • Boost immunity
  • Control blood sugar levels in those with diabetes
  • Treat the symptoms of allergies
